This post reminds me of my grandma and when she was still around. She would just grabbed something from her garden and either wrap it in banana leaves. Put it on the charcoal and then after it gets warms put it all over my body. It felt good and somehow helped me to get some relief. W ow ! ! isn't that awesome to have your own pharmacy in your backyard.
Yeah Filipinos can't just call their doctors and ask prescription then drive thru somewhere to pick it up except they relies on herbal medicines and planting it in their backyard. Or sometimes it could be a weed and you'll be surprise it will stop your bleeding from a cut.
So I used what I remember from my Mom to my Hubby who got really sick last Thursday. I know you probably thinking I am some "Doctor Quack". LOL... He was willing to try it and so I did. I toasted a ginger root on the stove then I put in in an old sock and then pound it so the juices would come out. I then rubbed it all over him and he said later then that it feels good. So don't know if it did really helped him but you know sometimes you missed those things from the Philippines. The "hilot" - massage which is so cheap and you can get it right away.
